Our repository covers 11 years of AIS messages in the western part of the Singapore Strait.
The Raw files are comprised of all AIVDM messages generated by our AIS receiver, coupled with its GPS receiver. We also added timestamps generated by the server every second, these messages start with the $SYSTIME header. Whenever possible, the ----- marker is used to indicate that logging was interrupted, so that preceding and following messages can be associated to a correct timestamp.
The JSON files are processed Raw files. Only AIS messages of type 1, 2, 3, 5, 18 and 19 are available. Messages with invalid values were removed during the filtering process. Each message is directly associated with a $SYSTIME-based timestamp.
The total number of messages for a set of Raw files, and the total number of processed messages for a JSON file, are indicated below their respective links (with M standing for million).

These files contain the list of ship static data aggregated per year. Only AIS messages of type 5, which contain an IMO, are considered. The number of unique ships observed is indicated. The file for the current year is updated every month.
